By stripping end-of-life mattresses and taking the usable parts for re-manufacture into new products, it is possible to reduce the volume of landfill waste by over 90%. At our premises based just south of Chichester in West Sussex, we are rising to the challenge of keeping mattresses out of landfill.
In our first full year of operation, it is estimated that we will divert 20,000 mattresses away from landfill. An astonishing 660 tonnes.
Since we began stripping, we have joined forces with several bed retailers along the south coast and through our continuing commitment will ensure that all end-of-life mattresses stay out of landfill and make it through our recycling program.
